* PEELING LEATHER: Chateau D’Ax Dax Furniture – Macy’s Macys Foley’s Foleys

Purchased in 2005 and began to peel in 2008.
Manufactured by Chateau D’Ax & purchased from Foley’s after the merger with Macy’s but before the name change was competed. When contacted, both the Chateau D’Ax & Macy’s denied any responsibility. Light use, never used a detergent or chemical cleaner. Our last set of leather sofas (Famous Barr – 1993) have endured and continue to look nice.
My question: Why did all three pieces start to peel so soon after purchase?
Message to Macy’s & Chateau D’Ax: We have an obvious manufacturing issue here and your denial of responsibility has greatly disappointed an otherwise loyal customer.
